Safer Driver
eLearning SAFER DRVER: $75 (+GST)
A bridge between two practical courses to engage and participants in a gap of 3 years.
The Safer Driver Program is an online course that provides an extension to the Driver Safety Induction program. This course is structured around three modules including:
UNIT 1
Safer Driving Skills
UNIT 2
Life on the Road
UNIT 3
Dealing with Adverse Conditions
This program focuses on higher order skills that are needed to improve awareness and safety on the road. A portion of these areas include:
- Vehicle Dynamics
- Safe Following Distances
- Distraction
- Intersections
- Country Roads
- Overtaking
- Fatigue and Fit to Drive
- Difficult Conditions
Conditions
- Can only be done after Drive to Survive Level 1 course is completed by the participant
- This is not a replacement for a practical course
- Consists of audio, text, photos and videos
- Course duration is 40 minutes and can be distributes at their own time
- Have to complete within 1 month of the enrolment
- Participants are tested at the end of each unit through a combination of multiple choice and true or false questions. All participants are awarded a Certificate of Achievement upon completion.
